Preparing for a photoshoot
Here are some points and things to remember on preparing for a photoshoot. Nothing could be more annoying than forgetting something important for a photoshoot. There are a lot of things to prepare but I find these basic things are a must.
Check your batteries.
Make sure your batteries are fully charged. Charge them a day before so as to prepare yourself and if you have an extra battery, just bring it in case your other fails.
Check and Format your memory cards.
Make sure your memory cards are clean and corrupt-free. Nothing could disappoint you more than having your memory card full or corrupted. But make sure you have a backup.
What lens to bring?
If you have a handful of lenses, bring only those that are needed for your shoot. For myself, I always have a prime with me.
Strobist stuff
If your planning to shoot with a model, it’s always fun to play around with light. A shoot through umbrella, 1 flash, 1 lightstand and 1 set of trigger will do. But if you want to play with more lights, of course you can bring as many as you want
Reflector
Its always important to bring a reflector even if you dont use it. You’ll never know when it may come in handy. It’s also good if your shooting in natural light.
and of course…you and your camera
